Short Trip to Frankfort Mi.

We, decided to make a trip to Frankfort Michigan,headed out on Thursday and made Arcadia, because Frankfort was Full, Sailboat race to Mackinaw was all over the north Lake area...Preventing us from getting into Jacobsons in Frankfort..Sorry about the Iphone Pics...

Cuising up to Arcadia was Lovely, Sunny , Seas Weren't too big Video was possible if I can get it to load up to this Blog...

We left Arcadia on Friday,Fog was very Heavy... so Heavy that we couldn't see 100 feet in front of the boat, Thank God for Radar....This Was the Day before we left, it never lifted at all.

Got to Frankfort on Friday anyways, Taking it Slow Because of the FOG. Eyes glued to the Radar..
Bought lots of Hoodies, Sweatshirts and what nots in Frankfort....Certianly helped their economy..hahah

Had to Stop in and EAT at Dingys... Got they have great food, if you like everything Deep Fried..
Headed  south on Saturday to Home Port Montague, Got all the way to Ludington, and the front coming across the lake Kicked up serious enough to Waves to duck into Ludington for the evening.
We waited out the wind and waves, then head back out to Montague at 9PM It was a nice trip, Here's some pics and videos along the way of this trip..

just took our time hitting the water today, went to a Michigan Historic Park , it was cool , we came back after we hit the Montague museum , had some creepy bones from a woman and her baby .
Went to Duck Lake and had dinner on the lake Hot Taco Rice yummy here's a pic or two of the flat water at Duck Lake..

4 of July Trip

Weather was awesome,no waves or wind to bother us on our three day adventure.Took off for Ludington via water this time at 3pm started out at a 10knt cruise ,well that didn't last long god how these girls love 1700 RPMs which took us up to 20 knots . Stopped for some well needed Sun worshipping at Little Sable point stick and were back on our way an hour later,had a great smoothie too,thanks baby.....We are in Ludington and its late but fireworks going of everywhere.GoPro video coming soon and it's boring 😎😎😎

Weird Summer This Year

It's been a Weird Summer and it's going to keep being a weird Summer,   Why you ask,because of my Rotator Cuff surgery that was in early June...
The surgery went very well, Doctors were good to me, Wife was by my side most of the time, and she's been the greatest care giver one could ever ask for.....She even slept on the couch while I had to sleep in the Lazy boy due to pain.Pic before surgery Happy to be there ah yeah..... sure I am..

That's right Ice cooler pack on my shoulder Stoned on drugs feeling NO pain at all, My wife be my side, taking pics along the way, Hell I was still falling asleep from anesthesia .......

Haven't been back to the boat for almost three weeks so we decided to give it a shot...stayed on it one night took a trip, short trip to the big waters and turned around due to rough waters...Pounding a little to hard for the shoulder, even in the sling..

Weird summer, but I'll try to post more of this 2015 summer as it happens..

2015 Begins with a Bang!!! Bang!!! Bang!!!

Ambiance is out of Winter Storage, In the water and has engine issues....It's called Boating. There's always something going wrong, it's how you handle it that matters. Steve the MANS man has been aboard, checking her out, found a bent Push Rod and is on the job ow to get her back up and running smoothly...
I went over to help them get her in the water and in Her slip, it was some great weather for putting a boat in the water.., the weather held out just fine, wish I could say the same about the engine....it's not a bad problem...

Seeing our BOAT hanging in the Lift was very Nerve Racking... to say the least. The crew putting the boats in from Crosswinds Marine Service, are awesome, each move was very precise, like a well oiled machine....

Ambiance is in the water now and she's the only Boat in on D dock as you can see in this next Pic..

The water level is up considerably, over 24" from just 2013.. and I've read where there will be 15" more of high water coming... I hope so Michigan can use this High water...In this next pic you can see where the boats side windows are much higher then the dock, in 2013 they were level with the dock.

We have a NEW LOG this Spring, one that I'm very concerned about, it seems that it is Free Floating and has come very close to the boat, NOT GOOD...

Looks like it's going to be a great summer Aboard Ambiance, can't wait...

Well the engine Hatch is off and Mechanic should have it all fixed on Saturday....Maybe, it's still too cold to go out boating anyways...Lake Superior is still Iced in.. so No going there..hahah

As we get ready for the Summer Season  2015 We're hoping to get up in Charlevoix Mackinaw and Wisconsin Dorr County area this summer, Sure won't be doing much Fishing with Surgery coming soon for My Right Arm...

What a Fantastic New Years Eve and New Years Day

Wow, What can I say.... I had another Amazing New Years Eve with my Bride, this makes the the 11th one.... I'm so thankful God has given me 10 Years with this Amazing woman...I'm hoping Lord.. you'll give me at least 25 more...
We had a Wonderful time, we took the New BMW up to Gaylord Michigan, for a relaxing time at TreeTops resort, it was nice,Then went over to Charlevoix Michigan, where we found this Amazing condo for a Really good price, it was huge over looking Round Lake, and the City Marina.. what a great view, we woke up to a Beautiful Sunrise, Drove all the way up to BAYHARBOR... to HOBKNOB with the RICH.. ha didn't find any though..The Scenery was Breath taking.... Lake Michigan was a little bit Angry...Waves were all of 7 feet high..

First the Car, My Lovely Wife decided to make this a Awesome Christmas present to me, what did I ever do to deserve THIS WOMAN and a car like this, we drove her up North on the way stopped in West Branch for a bite to eat at the Lumber Jack restaurant. Here's a look inside, it's a great place to eat...

Next Stop was Gaylord Michigan, Holy Cow was it snowing, BMW handled it well though...

Parking lots were piled high with the White Stuff, Great for skiing and sledding...

Got there to TreeTops had a great massage and dinner, then tired to get to bed for some much needed sleep...2014 was very busy...heheheheh picture blurry, sorry.

Had a Rotten Nights Sleep in Gaylord so we went over to Charlevoix..had Luch in the lil Bistro and found out it was attached to some awesome Condos......

What a Great Looking couple Aye??? hahahahah went down to Elk Rapids for so dinner at Pearls....took this of me DUCKFACIN... Afton you know where you get it from....

Night time was near time to settle in for the night in our HUGE condo.....My God was this room nice....Had a nice View and a great Bed.....

Ambiance is getting some new Toys added on...

I've been wanting to add a Radar Mast for awhile now, seems the KVH satellite Antennae has been obstructing the RADARS view for a few years now, So I had Seaview custom make a Tapered Radar Mast to get the Radar up and over the KVH, I didn't want to move the KVH so here's a look. I want to complete this task before moving on to another one.

I also added a Fishing light to the Aft, for Night fishing and night Swimming..20,000 Lumens of LED light... can't wait to hit that switch....You can see it in the pic above, but here's a better view..
