Summers Over and it's time for Snow and the Fireplace.

We had a great Summer, it was HOT..and it was HOT...I enjoyed the summer with my Wife on the Boat a lot, and we have some Kids and grand kids visit us on the boat this year, maybe the others can visit this coming year...I've compiled some of my most favorite pics for the end of this summer, this is the best of summer of 2012

                                   There's something about this Boat, she's just simple and beautiful.

                       Below are the tools of the trade... to catch the big ones, the Family Loves the Salmon....

       We were able to get the Trolling valves installed on the Boat, and this is one of the Salmon we we able to catch, it was late in the season, but we got a few.....

                                 I'm sure this will taste so good along with Long grain Rice.... Yummy.

Weekend After Surgery!!!!!!!

Knee surgery was inevitable....pain was bad and ordinary work was getting hard to complete. After Surgery in GR we went to the Yacht to recover and rest...Ice and rest......and more ice!!!!!

We took short walks down the dock,and went to Walmart where I could ride a Amigo!

Also went to Pecedills to eat, Oh what a good meal they have there, in the garden with my Wife and Lover...

To end the day we headed up to Ludington Michigan for some well deserved Ice Cream and a Lovely Sunset on Lake Michigan.. As the Badger was pulling out we were there, to catch another moment in History, another moment we can lock into OUR life and Our Memories....

Its a Good Life, Ambiance is able to fish and troll, we still have some issues in getting it perfect, but We (the Wife and I) caught our first King Salmon on Saturday night in Ambiance....MAN was it exciting, MaryAnne came running down from the bridge where she had been driving the boat, and helped me bring the fish into the cooler....Yumm it's going to taste so good with Wild rice next to it... Fishing here and there is going to be great, but we bought Ambiance for the pleasure of relaxing, sunbathing and cruising....once in awhile we'll put a line in or two....Here's the fish....It was close to a 20lb Female Salmon...Very nice.

Just a few Pics of Our Lake Michigan Sunsets, We've got the Greatest place on the West Michigan Shoreline to see these Sunsets... Duck Lake.. Duck Lake has a small river that trickles into Lake Michigan, through the sand it has bored a trail into Lake Michigan, the water coming from Duck Lake is very warm this year, as we walked along Lake Michigan, we waded through this little river it almost knocked us off our feet...But as you can see the sunset did just that, What a site, What a gorgeous view, I'm glad we decided to take a short trip in the car from White Hall to Duck Lake to see this spectacular site.... Here's a few...This is the river that had punched through the sand and found it's way to Lake Michigan...This is Pure Michigan.

Summer Vacation HOT HOT HOT!!!!

Summer vacation Started out the Hottest one ever, We planned to cruise "Ambiance" from White Hall to Charlevoix and we got her done. The weather was awesome, the water was so smooth we decided to go all the way to Elk Rapids on Our First Day 5 hours of cruising and we were there, and it was so HOT,even the water was warm as bath water. Here's Lake Michigan on a Sunset Night...

On our first day we spent the better part of it in Ludington Michigan at a Craft show, Maryanne Loves her crafts shows. We set sail at 2 pm and Headed out to Frankfort Michigan....What a drive it was... Point Betsie Near Frankfort Michigan.

We arrived Near Frankfort and decided to swim for awhile it the beautiful waters of Lake Michigan...Floating Ambiance in 9 feet of water, deep enough to get to the cold refreshing water..

 After our Lovely swim, We decided to go to Leland and settle in for the evening, to bad they were closed so we chose to head out for Elk Rapids two hours away. With waters as clam as they were, it was smooth cruising all the way in, as we broke around the bend into Grand Traverse Bay, I radioed Elk Rapids Harbor Master and they had a slip waiting for us when we arrived at 10PM...

We had plans to stay 4 days in Elk Rapids, joining us on Tuesday was our 2 Twin Grandsons and their Parents, Afton and David..We had a great time, the twins were as active as ever, and with never wanting to get out of the Water.... they were swimming like fish...

 We even had a chance to get some fishing in, and man did we catch some HUGE ones....

Elk Rapids was a Great Harbor to spend some time with the twins and my Daughter and Son,, but none of this could have happened without my Lovely Wife. Her and I had such a great time on this vacation...spending time with her is awesome and well just plain wonderful....

It was so HOT out, yet at dusk wile underway out on the open water, it was too cool under the Hard Top of Ambiance, Maryanne had to put her Hoodie on....It's important to stay warm, but when we stop, off came the hoodie quickly...Love this Woman.

Ok Remember when I said it was hot...Well here's proof of the Dog Day afternoon's we had.... Gracie is laying on the fiberglass where it's a little cooler when she's outside...instead of chasing Duckies, she's trying to get some rest.....And last pic of the post, the Sun Setting on Lake Michigan, God Country, it's all about God and what he's done with this world.....simply amazing....

And there it is........A beautiful ending to a simply Amazing Vacation, and best thing is.... there's more vacations to come very soon, like Every weekend.....Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2012 What a Year it's Going to Be!!!!!!!!!!!

Our beautiful boat is in the water for over a month now, we are celebrating our first full year with Ambiance as of Memorial day 2012. We had some great times in this Yacht and will continue too as well, as we mold her into our Own "Home" ,make adjustments. This year we have Purchased the Slip we are in now and we Love It....Maryanne planted flower pots along the Dock and everyone loved them, they are simply beautiful.....I'll post picks of them next week... Can't wait...

Spring, it's almost here, and splash day is almost here too, we can't wait, April 18th is our splash date and it's a little over a week away. 2012 looks to be a good year, we've had some serious sorrows already and only time and good memories can help this sorrow. Summer please come soon and please be kind to us, with warm weather and blue Michigan skies...Pure Michigan!!!!!!!!!!! Pure adrenaline.

Tampa... Was Great!!!!!

We Went to Tampa Florida,between Christmas and New Years.. it wasn't as warm as we wanted but we'll take 70*, we traveled all over Tampa and the West Coast Area, the beaches were awesome and the Sunsets, simply amazing, breath taking and very romantic.....Need I say anymore....
