Spring is here, and I'm lovin it!!!!

Well another season has fallen upon us, isn't it great. It didn't seem like long winter, but then again I'm over it... boating season is here Ambiance is back in our driveway.... getting her updates installed.... heheheh!! Not much this year, skipping a few items that I wanted, but didn't need, just wanted, it's a needs vs. Wants thing yeah know.....
We're slipped in Ludington this year,so it's going to be very different.The Boat will already be in the water, waiting for us to arrive... hmm no more hauling, I really enjoyed hauling her around too.... Well it's going to be very exciting Fishing year too, since we're in Ludington the fishing Capital of Michigan....

I'm also going to try to blow up our camera this year, or maybe the laptop with pics of "The Summer of 2010" it's going to be great spending time with my Wife, hopefully it's going to be HOT this summer...unlike last year...Keep praying for a decent summer people....

2010 is Here and Whoo hooo!!!!!

Ok it's finally here and I hope that everyone, yes I mean Everyone has had a great New Year so Far.... The economy Sucks... still....many companies are still feeling the hardship of 2009 and I suspect that will continue well into 2010. I know that's not good news but it's part of our Theme for 2010... It's called "Reality" and its a major part of life that no one likes to look at much less live it...As 2010 unfolds, you will see more post like this one, based on reality....Cutbacks, sacrifices and yes even some great times that can be had for a minimal price...everything has a price. 2010 is going to take some tough decisions, it's going to involve cutbacks and Seriuos budget crunching, crunching that we've been doing since the end of 2008, being in the Automotive business, we saw this coming and decided to tuck and roll...Summer trips for us, are going to be cut back, we may never leave the dock....Winter trips have been cut back about 50% so far, we're finding things to do at home, and close to home,we even sold a sled to the Cooks...As we roll into the depths of another Michigan Winter, We're looking at all angles where to cut our Budget, Like Dave Ramsey says... " Live like NO other... so you can Live like No other..."

They're talking Snow!!!!!!

   Yes it's true, they are talking snow....and we are still talking boating, camping ,fishing........2009 Summer was NOT something to ever be talked about again when talking about the weather..it was Horrible, but we still had a great summer. We went boating,and wore coats, we went swimming and wore coats, we road the rides of the Elk Rapids Harbor Days.... and wore coats. We even did some awesome Salmon fishing...all while wearing coats, Maryannne even had gloves on when she was trolling the boat....We had 2, 90 degree days this summer, and more then I care to talk about at 50 degrees to 60 degrees. And Yet we managed to have some great times and good memories of wearing coats and hats, in the Rain......
   

   
   

   We are now going to be slipped in Ludingtons Harborview Marina, it's elegant and has many attributes like their own swimming pool and Jacuzzi tub. There is so much to do in the Ludington Area, Stephanie and Steve, just love it....sandy beaches and dunes cold rivers and deep fishing holes.

   
   
   
   

the End to a Great Summer!!!

The Projects, it's a massive power generating plant in Ludington, this is from 200 feet above the plant,right next to the 27 billion gallon resevoir behind us where they store the water and release it down the tubes at night......

Well the season has ended it, we are now dry docked in the driveway, it's sad, just sad. But good news we are on the slip list at Ludington and it's not that big of a list, only two people ahead of us, so I'm sure we'll be in for next year. I can't wait... and I know Maryanne's excited as I am, Ludington is closer and well it's as beautiful as Elk Rapids too.

Summer's ending, but Fall and Winter....Yeah

Here it is, Fall... the end of Summer, the end of Sandy Beaches,Hot sticky days and Ice Cold Lemonade. What are you thinking it's going to be 80 degree's this weekend and not a cloud in the sky, says' the Weather man, but he's been worng all summer.. so who do you believe.... ah Believe this, MaryAnne and I have had a great summer, wind waves and rain aside, it's been great, spending time with my Wife, fishing, camping and well speding a lot of time in the Marina, the weather has been horrible.....
